Week 1: Introduction to Advanced Photography Techniques
Welcome back to the second term of photography class! This week, we’ll delve deeper into advanced photography techniques. Students will learn about advanced camera settings, such as manual mode, white balance, and metering modes. Activities include hands-on practice sessions to master these advanced techniques and understand their significance in achieving creative control over their photographs.
Week 2: Creative Composition
Building upon the basics of composition, this week focuses on advanced composition techniques to add depth and visual interest to photographs. Students will explore concepts like symmetry, balance, and negative space. Activities include analyzing renowned photographers’ work for advanced composition elements and applying these techniques in their own photography projects.
Week 3: Advanced Lighting Techniques
Lighting is a cornerstone of photography, and this week, students will learn advanced lighting techniques to elevate their photography to the next level. Topics include artificial lighting setups, off-camera flash, and using light modifiers. Activities include studio sessions to experiment with different lighting setups and create dramatic lighting effects.
Week 4: HDR Photography
High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography involves capturing a wider range of tones to create stunning, highly detailed images. Week 12: Examination Week
In this week, students will demonstrate their mastery of advanced photography techniques through a written examination and a practical photography assignment. The written examination will cover theoretical knowledge, while the practical assignment will assess students’ ability to apply advanced techniques to create compelling and technically proficient photographs.
Week 13: School Dismissal Week
As the second term comes to a close, students will wrap up any remaining assignments and projects. They will also have the opportunity to showcase their best photographs from the term in a class exhibition. Additionally, there will be time for reflection on their growth as photographers and setting goals for future photography endeavors.
