JSS3 First Term Islamic Religious Studies
Week 1: Introduction to Islamic Studies
In the inaugural week, students will be immersed in the fundamental principles of Islamic Religious Studies. Topics include the Five Pillars of Islam, basic beliefs, and an overview of the Quran. Activities involve group discussions, Quranic recitation, and a quiz to reinforce the key concepts.
Week 2: Life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
Delve into the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) during the second week. Lessons will cover his early life, prophethood, and significant events. Activities include role-playing, storytelling, and a class project on creating visual timelines of Prophet Muhammad’s life.
Week 3: Understanding the Quran
Week 3 will focus on the Quran – its revelation, structure, and significance. Students will engage in recitation sessions, explore Quranic verses, and participate in a creative project illustrating verses’ meanings.
Week 4: Salah (Islamic Prayer)

Week 5: Zakat and Charity

Week 6: Fasting in Islam

Week 7: Hajj and Pilgrimage
